Job title: Sr. Software Engineer - C/C for windows
Job Location: Chicago, IL/ Remote
Duration: Fulltime with Cognizant
Experience: 9 to 12 years
Roles and Responsibilities:
Understand client requirement, product development work model.
Understand technical existing code, ticket details and identify root cause, provide solution, guide offshore team, mentor technical, help resolve roadblocks.
Sustain client Applications through Version Upgrades, Application Vulnerability Fixes.
Participation in Release and Iteration planning sessions.
Participation in user story elaboration sessions in conjunction with the product owners to ensure sufficient level of details are available to be scoped into the development iterations.
Work with Client leads and participate in designing the solutions.
Development / updates to the application in accordance.
Resolve defects.
Technical hands on C for windows, VC and C# can be added advantage.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or master's in computer science, CS, EE, or related field and 6 to 8 years preferred experience in software development.
Expertise required in coding, code analysis, code troubleshooting, understanding client requirements, code debugging, writing new code, good understanding of software development lifecycle, understanding client work model and adopt to changing culture.
Good/strong technical hands on in C/C on windows platform, VC , (C# would be added).
Code deployment to PROD, CI-CD pipelines.
Familiar with Agile/Scrum/waterfall software development methodologies.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $85,000 to $105,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
