Job Summary

A skilled SQL Developer with expertise in MySQL, Snowflake, version control systems (Git), and data replication tools like Qlik. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of AWS services and experience with ETL tools such as AWS Glue. In this role you will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines ensuring seamless data replication and integration and delivering scalable data solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures in MySQL and Snowflake.

Design and implement scalable database schemas and ensure efficient data retrieval.

Configure and maintain data replication processes using tools such as Qlik.

Monitor and troubleshoot data replication issues to ensure timely and accurate data flow across systems.

Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

Automate and monitor ETL workflows to ensure data consistency and reliability.

Use Git to manage code changes, ensure version control, and collaborate effectively with team members.

Maintain clear and organized repositories for scripts, workflows, and configurations.

Utilize AWS services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, RDS) to build, deploy, and manage cloud-based data solutions.

Ensure best practices for cloud security, scalability, and cost optimization.

Work closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.

Document ETL workflows, data replication processes, and database structures.

Optimize database performance by analyzing query execution plans, indexing strategies, and schema design.

Ensure high availability and reliability of database systems.

Qualifications

Strong proficiency in MySQL and Snowflake, including database design, optimization, and query performance tuning.

Experience with data replication tools like Qlik Replicate or similar technologies.

Hands-on experience with AWS services including AWS Glue, S3, Lambda, and RDS.

Proficient in using Git for version control and collaborative development.

Expertise in designing and maintaining ETL pipelines using tools like AWS Glue or custom scripting in Python.

Understanding of data modeling concepts and data warehouse architecture.

Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages like Python or Shell is a plus for automation and ETL processes.

Ability to troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions effectively.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Salary and Other Compensation :

Applications will be accepted until 01 / 20 / 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 - $135,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
