THE ROLE
Cognizant Technology Modernization is changing the game in Data, Cloud and Generative AI based consultancy services. Tech Modernization is almost like a boutique consultancy inside of Cognizant that creates change in how technology is used and fosters an innovative engineering culture.

We’re looking for a Senior Consultant, Cognizant Consulting who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As the Senior Manager, this means overseeing advisory consulting engagements, being a trusted advisor to clients, establishing oneself as a thought leader in your field, solving complex problems, consultatively working with a client to achieve business goals, driving contributions to offerings and innovations, and serving as a people leader, guiding multiple teams as they work to transform a client and the world. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work as a Senior Developer/Architect/Senior DevOps engineer who can serve as a go-to expert on modern technology and engineering
- Work with technical teams and leadership to influence and support the engineering culture.
- Mentoring and get hands-on with software teams including engineers and architects on learning and applying new ways to solve problems.
- Integrate organizational strategies and coach product teams and leaders in the right direction.
- Enable and inspire a collaborative and empowered culture to promote greater business agility.
- Through coaching soft skills, building trust, evaluating team’s current practices / methodologies you’ll recommend appropriate next steps to achieve greater business agility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to collaborate with product teams on reaching the next level of customer delivery.
- Ability to optimize solutions for performance, resiliency and reliability while maintaining an eye toward simplicity.
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design techniques and principles (Java, Python, JS, Angular/React), Test Driven Development, automation (Selenium/Playwright) and SQL/NoSQL
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks and methodologies
- Proficiency in building DevSecOps Toolchain (ADO) in a Microservices environment
- Ability to conduct technical workshops, DOJO & JAD sessions, establish cross team collaboration and coaching to bring in best practices in people, process, technology and measurement in adherence to strategic vision and architectural runway
- Ability to concisely convey ideas verbally, in writing, in code, and in diagrams.
WORK AUTHORIZATION

SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATION:
The annual salary for this position is between $98,853 - $158,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
