Responsibilities
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Experience with thermal systems designs for engine/exhaust under hood environments.
- Experience with coolant and refrigerant plumbing. Experience with sensors and actuator assemblies.
- Experience with HVAC climate system designs for passenger vehicles.
- Establish physics-based component requirements (coolant pump, radiator, plumbing, fan system).
- Work with packaging team on design, coordinate thermal system goals and ensure thermal systems critical requirements are established and met.
- Responsible for design updates, as required, within area of responsibility in the thermal system. Work with interface teams to balance requirements as needed.
- Work with design/release team to process change orders.
- Take ownership and implement component changes as part of change management process.
- Establish and maintain supplier contacts for any component issues and or communications.
- Work with test engineers to establish test plans.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or combined electrical/mechanical engineering, systems engineering, or a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience in thermal, colling, and/or HVAC and relevant automotive assignments, covering all phases of product development (design, test, and launch).
- Strong technical skills and expertise in automotive systems, employing a six-sigma approach to engineering design and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field.
