COGS has partnered with, multi billion dollar revenue manufacturing company who are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Due to increased market demand, they are in growth mode and expanding! As a result they have introduced a new and exciting position for the Mechanical Engineer.
The job is based on-site in Easton, PA with salary up to 125K 7% Bonus
Job Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including chillers, cooling towers, piping, pumps, air compressors, dryers, air-handlers, VFDs, boilers, exhaust fans, heat exchangers, tanks, and water systems.
- Proven ability to adapt in a large, complex work environment.
- Provide mechanical engineering support for design, operation, and maintenance of manufacturing assets across multiple locations.
- Design mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and complete machine assemblies using 3D drawings and GD&T standards.
- Design piping systems, including material selection, sizing calculations, valve selection, and process flow diagrams.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify root causes of manufacturing issues and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Manage capital projects, including design reviews, cost estimates, specifications, scheduling, testing, safety audits, and financial oversight.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5 years of technical support experience in a manufacturing or facility environment.
- Expert in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, strength of materials, metallurgy, and mechanics.
- Proficient in 3D solid modeling software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with structured problem-solving (Six Sigma DMAIC or Lean A3 preferred).
- Strong knowledge of industrial trades, including HVAC, machining, metal fabrication, and welding.
- Familiar with manufacturing codes and standards (ASME, ASTM, Factory Mutual).
