Principal Mechanical Engineer

We are partnered with a globally experienced engineering organization that has been operating for several decades. The company delivers end-to-end project solutions across various energy infrastructure domains, supporting all phases from design through execution. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and multidisciplinary capabilities, the firm plays a key role in complex facility and pipeline development projects.

Role Overview:

This is a senior technical leadership role within the mechanical engineering discipline, focused on the execution and oversight of engineering deliverables for major energy infrastructure projects. The role offers wide technical authority and includes responsibilities such as leading design work, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• -              Leading and reviewing mechanical engineering calculations, specifications, and technical documentation
• -              Developing material requisitions and conducting bid evaluations in partnership with procurement teams
• -              Reviewing drawings and attending factory testing of equipment when needed
• -              Coordinating mechanical deliverables such as process diagrams, piping layouts, and site plans
• -              Serving as the primary technical point of contact for client communication on mechanical matters
• -              Supporting proposal efforts and contributing to internal knowledge development
• -              Potential for short- or long-term assignments at client or project sites as required

Qualifications & Education:

• -              Minimum of 10 years of mechanical engineering experience, primarily within the oil and gas infrastructure domain
• -              Strong background in facility types such as compressor and pump stations, metering systems, storage terminals, and related components
• -              Expertise in applicable industry standards and codes (e.g., ASME, API, NFPA, DOT)
• -              Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (required)
• -              Professional Engineering License preferred
• -              Demonstrated ability to lead technical efforts and communicate effectively
