COGS has partnered with leading construction company as they seek a Safety Manager to join their team in Chicago.
Due to increased market demand for their services and several on going projects, they are in growth mode and expanding! This has led to increased opportunities for career trajectory and hence they are looking for a Safety Manager to take ownership of their safety procedures.
This position is on site Chicago with salary up to 140K Bonus
Responsibilities:
- Lead and enforce Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) on a single construction project per HQ policy.
- Build relationships with project teams to drive cultural changes in safety practices.
- Assess EH&S risks, develop action plans, and enhance safety awareness.
- Communicate performance improvements and enforce safety standards.
- Lead EH&S training for project teams, including external partners and subcontractors.
- Analyze Phase I, Phase II, and pre-demolition surveys to mitigate environmental risks.
- Review environmental reports, ensure compliance, and provide guidance.
- Develop safety, health, and wellbeing programs for project teams.
- Create reports on safety performance and present findings.
- Negotiate contracts for safety services and medical facilities.
- Manage and mentor the Project Safety team, oversee hiring, feedback, and development.
Qualifications:
- HSE/Safety related Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 7 years of experience in a HSE/Safety roles within the construction industry.

Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
