What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Manager (W/M/D) position at Cogs?
Our client is a market leader in the automotive industry seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee the complete end-to-end supply chain function. You will be responsible for managing and optimising the supply chain, including procurement, production warehousing and distribution, ensuring seamless coordination from supplier to production to the customer. This is an excellent role for a talented Supply Chain Manager looking to continue developing their leadership capabilities by joining and leading a growing team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Strategy and Planning - Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast demand and adjust strategies accordingly as well as analyse market trends and industry developments to anticipate potential opportunities for further growth.
- Supplier Management - Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, as well as on-time delivery and manage supplier relationships.
- Inventory and warehouse management - Oversee warehouse management and distribution activities to ensure the efficient flow of materials and finished goods.
- Risk Management - Proactively identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including potential disruptions, delays, and quality issues.
- KPI analysis and reporting - Take ownership of setting as well as utilise data analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience leading high performing teams across the end-to-end supply chain
- Excellent knowledge of industry best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and negotiatiing skills when handling suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- Business fluent English and German are requires.
