What are the responsibilities and job description for the HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR position at Cohen Brothers Inc?
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO)/Car Processor to join our team in West Carrollton, OH. As a HEO, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely processing of car materials in accordance with company standards. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all materials are processed accurately and efficiently. This role requires an important level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
- Unloading of car haulers (10-12 cars per load)
- Sorting of cars to examine what is consider safe to shred
- Transport cars to the shredder belt
- Keeping your machine greased and clean
- Bucket/Fork Loader experience
- Some Crane Operator and Mag work
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, procedures and maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, which include baling accumulated trash, keeping walkways free of debris, and performing environmental hazard inspections
- Strong work ethic.
- Honest and Trustworthy. This position will require you to work unsupervised some of the time and you will be expected to stay on task
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical labor such as standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting (50lbs)
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Come with a great attitude and ready to learn
- 1 year of Bucket/Fork Loader experience
