Senior Associate, Transaction Services Tax SALT

What You'll Do

Are you a seasoned transaction services tax professional with a passion for exceptional client service and focusing in SALT work? We have an opportunity at the Senior Associate level to help with comprehensive tax analysis and due diligence for M&A transactions focusing on state and local income tax, sales and use tax, employment tax and real/personal property tax. Commitment:  

• Help with comprehensive tax analysis and due diligence for M&A transactions focusing on state and local income tax, sales and use tax, employment tax and real/personal property tax
• Assist with tax-efficient structures and strategies
• Prepare tax models showing the after-state tax cash proceeds for sellers and impacts to buyers for various structuring options
• Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify opportunities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver holistic solutions to clients
• Mentor and train junior team members to enhance their tax expertise
• Assist with managing multiple clients and engagements including managing client expectations, ensuring client satisfaction, meeting deadlines, and leading change efforts effectively

Who You Are

Required: 

• Pursuing CPA or JD
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SALT M&A tax consulting within a public accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws
• Proven experience in tax due diligence, structuring, and compliance
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with extensive background in tax research
• Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
• Initiative to learn, ask questions, operate in a fast-paced environment, challenge the status quo, develop strong relationships internally, and flexibility are required and keys to success

Estimated Salary Range:  $65,000-$120,000*
