Looking for a job coach to work with individuals with disabilities working as Growers (farmworkers) at A Farm Less Ordinary (AFLO). The Job Coach is a professional, experienced in helping people enhance their strengths and improve their working skills. The Job Coach assist Growers with intellectual and developmental disabilities who need help and guidance learning new tasks, staying on task, communicating appropriately and effectively, and improving job related skills.
Essential Functions
· Devise, plan and implement job coaching strategies.
· Assist the Grower to learn and demonstrate appropriate work-related behaviors.
· Provide help and guidance for growers who are facing challenges learning new tasks and skills.
· Counsel Grower on fine-tuning communication, work habits/skills in preparation for competitive employment.
· Notice Grower strengths and instruct them how to make the best out of their strengths.
· Discover Grower motivation and help develop their skills.
· Uphold a positive and safe work environment.
· Assist Growers as needed.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, such as rain and varying temperatures. The noise level is usually moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their essential functions.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; and be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a seasonal hourly position. Typical days and hours of work are dependent upon the Grower’s weekly work schedule. (Likely initial schedule is Mon-Wed-Fri, 8am to 2pm)

· Previous working experience mentoring and working with people with disabilities.
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Problem-solving aptitude.
· Ability to inspire and motivate.
