What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst Temp position at Coherent Corp. US?
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cost center managers, functional leaders & Finance Business Partners in developing annual budgets / quarterly projections; including clear documentation of assumptions & posting in Oracle / Hyperion.
• Record month-end journal entries (accruals, reclasses, charge in / outs, & prepaid amortization) for all cost centers supported; ensure accurate reporting of financial results in Oracle / Hyperion.
• Collect and analyze key financial data to provide insights that influence strategic decisions for business partner and management.
• Analyze financial variances for cost center actuals, projections, and budget.
• Compile Month-End Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
• Support audit requests from internal / external audit.
• Oversee all accounting operations, including standard cost changes, BOM costing updates, reconciling inventory to the GL, AP, AR, Fixed Asset tracking, and posting of payroll.
• Tracking and reporting of R & D Expenses by project.
• Good team player who can handle tactical & strategic duties.
• Comfortable engaging with BU Leadership including presentations.
• Exhibit flexibility and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments as they are identified and to assist with various ad-hoc projects
Education & Experience
• At least 5 years of finance/accounting experience (Manufacturing/Semiconductor industry preferred)
• BS in finance/accounting preferred
•
Skills
Knowledge of pcMRP preferred
• High degree of proficiency with Excel and ERP systems, with Oracle and Hyperion (Smart View, Planning) experience preferred
• Comfortable engaging with BU Leadership including presentations
• Good team player who can handle tactical & strategic duties
• Strong communication and analytical skills
