Intern- Quality

Primary Duties & Responsibilities 

• Review CoC’s of all materials sourced from suppliers and set up dashboards by collaborating with internal teams to view the trends of critical elements
• Setting up dashboards in JMP/Excel for Incoming Quality Check, Out of Box Audit, Change Review Board and Corrective Action Reports data
• Assist in performing IQC’s on raw materials received from suppliers
• Identify and develop IQC process for critical materials received from the suppliers if needed
• Train and implement eDMR process to handle non-conforming materials
• Assist in improving Layered Process Audits
• Participate and assist in cost savings project 

Education & Experience 

• Pursuing BS in Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent degree.
• Previous Intern experience a plus 

Skills 

• Listening to and taking directions from Team Lead
• Quick learner
• Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills.
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with JMP is a plus

Working Conditions 

• Working with other engineers and with documentation/data.
• Work in a class 100/1000 clean room parts of some days
• Wear full cleanroom attire (smock, mask, etc.) parts of some days 

Physical Requirements 

• Nearly all work is with computer and inside the cleanroom
• Walk to different areas of the building as needed

Safety Requirements
