Job Description
The Diamond Turning Process Engineer will provide technical and administrative support in all aspects of the diamond turning process. Focus of the position will be the support and process development for diamond turning flycut and multi-axis machining. Process development will include detailed documentation of processes, yield improvement implementation, scrap reduction, and corrective action implementation. The DT Process Engineer will conduct frequent investigations into yield losses and reject cause analysis. Results from these investigations must be communicated to Diamond Turning operators, supervision, engineering and management. In addition to process development and documentation, work will include sales support, project management, standards review, opto-mechanical design, quoting, optical testing, and quality control. Provide regular feedback to DT supervision and management on facility, scheduling, and production issues. Support all Coherent management initiatives.
Required Education
BS Degree in Science or Engineering discipline required
Required Experience

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.

Required Education
BS Degree in Science or Engineering discipline required
Required Experience
- 2-4 years experience in a machining environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Labview, C#, and/or Matlab preferred
- Ideal candidate will have knowledge of manufacturing, process documentation, process improvement, value stream mapping, corrective action implementation, metrology, computer modeling, and quality control.
- Good mathematical, technical writing, and organizational skills.
- Mathematical skill should include strong knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and calculus.
- Ability to multi-task in a high paced environment is a must.

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
