Intern, Enterprise Software Developer

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a common application platform using bleeding edge opensource software stack
• Work with an enterprise applications development team building new applications for internal users and employees Education & Experience
• Currently pursing a Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or related field.
• Familiar with open source tools like API gateways, Schedulers, CI / CD, Log analysis, Reporting and dash boarding.
• Experience and / or interest in some (not all) of the following : NodeJS, React Native, Angular JS, VueJS, MongoDB, MySQL, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, Java.
• Excited about using latest opensource software & frameworks, methodologies & tools.
• Not afraid to evaluate / try new methodologies / frameworks / tools to improve development process and / or user experience. Skills
• Not afraid to evaluate / try new methodologies / frameworks / tools to improve development process and / or user experience.
• Excited about joining a team that is focused on building next generation platform that will be used by employees around the world.
• Have past application development Internship or Project experience is a plus.
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp. Working Conditions
• This position is onsite
• Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
• Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
• May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate project Physical Requirements
• Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
• Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
• Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
