Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist engineering staff to perform mechanical / process engineering evaluations for 1.6T module product development. Able to follow written & verbal instructions from staff to perform DOEs. Some Computer Aided Design (CAD) is required. Education & Experience
- Undergraduate enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program or equivalent. Skills
- Understand basic engineering principles. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Working Conditions
- Full time on site for duration of internship program. Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues. Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
