JOB DESCRIPTION
- Gather and refine requirements for a specific project based on technical needs.
- Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices, applying emerging technologies/industry trends into operations and activities.
- Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices.
- Integrate data from and into various back-end services and databases.
- Collaborate with web designers to match intent of visual design.
- Computer Science or Network Engineering major
- Ability to work creatively in multi-disciplinary teams and strive for innovative solutions
- Experience in web application development in C#, .NET, or equivalent development environment as well as SQL or equivalent database experience a must
- Strong analytical skills a major plus
- Citizen or permanent resident
- Practical experience in emerging technical fields
- Collaborating hand-in-hand with skilled teams of software engineers
- Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with seasoned professionals
- Experience and training in small-project management and execution
- Work environment can range from office to lab to manufacturing floor.
- Work involving small to large equipment.
- Able to perform physical tasks in various positions: standing, crouching, kneeling, reaching
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Perform occasional lab or bench—level test work as needed
- All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and COHERENT Corporate EHS standards.
- PPE may be required when entering manufacturing areas.
- Responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9001 and other standards within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
