Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production plans and schedules based on demand forecasts, material availability, and production capacity.
  • Coordinate with procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor work-in-progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts and delays in a timely manner.
  • Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
  • Communicate schedule changes and priorities to production teams and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain to support new product introductions and engineering changes.
  • Maintain ERP/MRP systems with accurate and up-to-date planning data.
  • Participate in capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required
  • 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing planning, production control, or supply chain role.
  • Experience working in environments applying Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma tools to optimize workflows and reduce inefficiencies
  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) preferred but not required
  • Strong grasp of how to manage and control inventory effectively

Skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills – ability to manage complex schedules and solve production issues.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle, or IFS preferred)
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive mindset for identifying potential production challenges.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other scheduling/planning tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
