We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace & Hardware Engineering Sourcing Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing a variety of sourcing strategies to identify and engage top-tier candidates for aerospace and hardware engineering roles. You will collaborate closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand technical requirements and team dynamics, ensuring the successful acquisition of talent in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize diverse sourcing techniques to identify and attract qualified aerospace and hardware engineering candidates.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to gain in-depth understanding of technical requirements, team dynamics, and role priorities.
- Proactively build and manage pipelines of qualified candidates for aerospace hardware and software engineering roles.
- Employ sourcing strategies such as Boolean searches, LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, and other platforms to uncover passive talent.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate data, pipelines, and sourcing activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Screen and assess candidates to ensure alignment with technical hiring needs and team fit.
- Engage with potential candidates through targeted, compelling messaging and outreach.
- Conduct initial interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications and suitability for open roles.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers and recruiters to translate job requirements into a focused and effective sourcing strategy.
- Continuously experiment with and refine sourcing tactics to improve outreach effectiveness and overall recruitment success.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of experience sourcing candidates for aerospace and/or hardware engineering roles.
- Strong adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on refining processes and enhancing results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovative sourcing strategies.
Skills
- Experience in startup environments, tech companies, or relevant domains such as AAV, UAS, AUV, Weapons, or related programs.
- 3 years of sourcing experience, ideally in a dedicated sourcing role or a full-cycle recruiting role with sourcing comprising at least 80% of responsibilities.
- Proven success in sourcing for both hardware and software engineering positions, particularly in highly specialized or hard-to-fill roles.
- Expertise in Boolean search techniques and proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and other sourcing tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-sufficiency and initiative.
