We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Citrix Application Access Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Virtual team in our Global Digital & Cybersecurity group.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

YOUR ROLE.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Citrix Environment Architecture and Design
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, StoreFront, and other Citrix infrastructure components
- Integrate Citrix solutions with cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments
- Architect and Develop Citrix Cloud strategy, Citrix Endpoint management, and Azure AVD migration experience
- NetScaler Design and Configuration
- Designing and implementing intricate NetScaler configurations for complex application environments, including load balancing, content switching, SSL offloading, BGP, LACP Channels, and application acceleration.
- Analyzing and resolving escalated customer issues related to NetScaler performance, connectivity, and security, often requiring in-depth knowledge of network protocols and application behavior.
- Guiding and mentoring junior NetScaler engineers on best practices, architecture design, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Application & Desktop Delivery
- Optimize application packaging and publishing strategies to streamline deployment and access for users.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance
- Work closely with application teams to understand requirements, troubleshoot compatibility issues, and improve performance
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Proactively monitor the Citrix environment for potential issues, using relevant tools to track system health and user experiences
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, session, or resource bottlenecks, escalating complex problems to senior engineers as needed
- Apply patches, upgrades, and security updates
- Monitoring NetScaler performance metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and proactively optimizing system capacity to ensure high availability and scalability.
- Performance & Capacity Planning
- Analyze resource utilization, user demand, and network capacity to ensure Citrix services scale effectively with business needs
- Collaborate with infrastructure and network teams to implement load balancing, optimize traffic flow, and manage concurrency
- Security & Compliance
- Implement Citrix-specific best practices and policies, working with the security team to meet regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and company policies
- Support periodic audits and compliance checks by maintaining accurate documentation and change records
- Configure access controls and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Implementing and maintaining robust security policies on NetScaler appliances, including access control, certificate management, and threat mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay informed about updates to Citrix technologies, industry trends, and emerging best practices, recommending enhancements where applicable
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts, documenting solutions and creating internal technical guides
The successful candidate will have:
- Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Citrix certifications (e.g., CCA-V, CCP-V) are a plus
- Professional Experience
- 7-10 years of experience administering Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in a medium-to-large-scale environment
- Exposure to Active Directory, networking concepts, and Windows Server administration is beneficial
- Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of StoreFront, Citrix Workspace, NetScaler, and other Citrix ecosystem components
- Basic understanding of networking, load balancing, firewalls, and security best practices
- Scripting or automation experience (e.g., PowerShell) is advantageous
- Well versed in problem solving and troubleshooting
- Understanding of virtualization technologies like VMware, Citrix Cloud, Azure AVD
- Soft Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working in a globally distributed team
- Analytical mindset, detail-oriented, and adept at problem-solving in high-pressure scenarios
