We currently have an exciting career opportunity in our Government and Public Sector Advisory team for a Federal Audit Readiness Manager based out of our Bethesda office in a hybrid capacity.

This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to alternate time between both remote and office. This position will support CohnReznick's Government and Public Sector Advisory practice. This group is highly experienced and specially trained in the operations, processes, regulations, and reporting requirements of public entities. YOUR ROLE.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Lead and manage federal audit engagements, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal control policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during audits and examinations.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify areas for improvement in internal controls and systems.
- Monitor and evaluate the adequacy of remediation activities.
- Provide training and guidance to staff and clients on internal control procedures and federal audit requirements.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls and audit findings.
- Stay current with changes in federal accounting standards and auditing standards, and ensure the organization is compliant with these changes.
- Participates in business development activities (identifying opportunities, writing proposals, budgeting, networking, etc.)
YOUR EXPERIENCE.
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- CPA or CIA highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal audits, internal controls, and information systems.
- Strong knowledge of federal auditing standards, internal control frameworks (e.g. GAO Green Book), and relevant federal regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using audit and internal control software and tools.

In Maryland, the salary range for a Federal Audit Manager is $100,000 to $150,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
