What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytical Chemist position at COIM USA INC.?
Job Function Perform analytical testing following Safety and Housekeeping policies & maintain laboratory materials (chemicals and equipment) in a safe, clean manner. Conduct routine and non-routine testing using various analytical techniques, including Chromatography (Liquid, Gas, GPC, Headspace), ICP-OES, MS, NMR, Thermal Analysis (TGA, DSC), Mechanical Analysis (Instron, DMA), rheometer & Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR, NIR), in support of various assigned projects. Ensure the testing equipment are always maintained in operational condition and keep filing for usage / maintenance / calibration records and documents. Regularly calibrate and troubleshoot analytical instruments and equipment. Assist with method development for instrumental analysis in support of R&D, Technical Service, Production, and Customers. Present technical information such as, analytical report, root cause analysis, technologies, methods, etc. to internal and external customers. Assist with method development and improvement for the Quality Control Laboratories includes improving existing test methodology and new methods and new instrumental analysis. Provide technical advice and training to technical personnel from QC, R&D or Technical service. Provide manpower support in the QC labs, as needed, to cover vacations, backlogs, and as time permits with downtime in the Analytical Lab. Safety Follow GHS labels and chemical storage in the analytical lab.Attend all company-sponsored training programs.Follow Environmental and Hygiene procedures and rules.
