What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elastomer Laboratory Technician position at COIM USA INC?
Job Function
- Support the technical service and R&D departments in testing and reporting data on cast molded polyurethane
- Operate analytical testing equipment in conformance with department procedures
- Operate StateMix Mix Meter Machine to generate large scale molded polyurethane specimens
- Assist in maintaining a clean workspace as it relates to their tasks
- Manage laboratory chemical inventory for the prepolymer lab
- Perform and document calibration and maintenance tasks to keep instrumentation in accurate working order
- Conform to the strict confidentiality policies of the company and proper handling and an acute awareness of internal and external intellectual properties
Safety
- Must be safety and quality focused
- Follow company safety guidelines and policies
- Ensure team members follow safety guidelines
- Participate in monthly safety meetings
- Must pass annual physical requirement associated with material handling and PPE usage.
Housekeeping
- Need to comply with COIM internal housekeeping rules
- Responsible for maintaining workstations in the Prepolymer lab in a clean and efficient working condition
