Staff Accountant

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join Coinbase Wallet, a

subsidiary of the Coinbase network. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the

accuracy, transparency, and integrity of our financial operations as we navigate the exciting and

fast-evolving world of blockchain technology. This is a unique opportunity to blend traditional

accounting principles with the cutting-edge field of digital assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile accurate financial records, including cryptocurrency-related

transactions.

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting to support business growth.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, cryptocurrency-specific regulations, and

    • internal policies.

  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals to manage audits and tax filings.
  • Monitor cryptocurrency market movements and provide input on financial implications.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal financial controls and reporting

    • processes.

  • Perform other administrative and financial tasks to support the accounting team as

    • needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidacy is a

    • plus).

  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel (pivot

    • tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).

  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge or interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with cryptocurrency accounting practices, such as digital asset valuation and

    • tracking, is an advantage.
