Cardinal Equipment Services, home of Gekay Sales & Service, is seeking a versatile and skilled Ancillary Production Technician to join our team in Winter Haven, FL. This role requires a broad skill set and a commitment to quality and efficiency. The Ancillary Production Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and refurbishment of various equipment components and payment systems.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair equipment components: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on various machinery to ensure all repairs are completed to company standards and within specified timelines. Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used.
Install, configure, and maintain payment systems: Ensure payment systems are functioning correctly and securely. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to payment processing equipment.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment for refurbishment: Inspect and test refurbished equipment to ensure it meets quality standards. Apply necessary upgrades and modifications to equipment.
Washing parts, disassembly/assembly of products using power tools, hand tools, and air tools: Follow instructions on SOP, sales orders, and customer profiles.
Identify and scrap bad parts: Ensure defective parts are properly disposed of.
Assist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement: Provide training and support to team members and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.
Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition: Ensure the workspace is kept clean and safe, adhering to company standards.
Follow prescribed safety measures and procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols to protect associates and company assets.
Assist team in achieving facility and department goals: Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age is 18 years old.
Strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot and repair various types of equipment.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective quality management and technical skills needed.
Basic knowledge of and ability to use power and hand tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to operate Company computer systems
Ability to utilize all company-provided resources and technology.
Follow all prescribed safety and security measures protecting all associates and company assets.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with safety policies.
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job.
Ability to read, write, and speak English, with both written and verbal instruction.
Repeated sitting, standing on cement floors, walking, pushing/pulling, lifting, carrying, up to 35 lbs.
