The Field Service Technician - Refrigeration will provide support to the Cardinal Equipment Services Department performing essential mechanical duties and department functions. This role will be responsible for a wide variety of assignments associated with – but not limited to beverage and ice equipment installation, removal, mechanical repair, and refrigeration troubleshooting and repair. Additional responsibilities include parts and equipment accountability, resource management, customer relations, job site surveys and working closely with customers and co-workers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Beverage Fountain, Draft Beer and Ice Maker Equipment Installation, Removal, Troubleshooting and Repair including Refrigeration Service.
Parts and Equipment Accountability
Maintain positive customer and co-worker relationships.
Record and account for billable time, parts and services related to work assignments.
Position requires flexibility to work various shifts.
Comply with all Company/DOT vehicle policies. Smith-System, Geotab, Lytx (Dashcams), etc.
Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and safety requirements.
Skills and Experience:
Refrigeration Service on Small Appliances or Ice Makers preferred.
Soft drink or draught beer mechanical service preferred.
Basic plumbing and electrical experience preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Valid Drivers’ license and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
High school diploma or GED required.
EPA Certification
Universal Refrigeration License Preferred
Work Environment:
Customer accounts – restaurants, convenience stores, offices, etc.
Equipment Used: Basic hand tools, handheld computer, lift carts, ladders, electric and battery drills, saws, refrigeration repair equipment.
Physical effort required in job: Lifting, bending, climbing, and stretching.
