What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Fleet Mechanic position at Coke Florida Careers?
Coke Florida is looking for a Lead Fleet Mechanic based out of our Orlando location. We’re currently looking for 5:00AM to 2:00PM shift, working Monday through Friday.
What You Will Do:
As a Coke Florida Lead Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for scheduling and performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles. Lead fleet mechanics assist in the scheduling, coaching, and development of other team members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Train, coach and provide day-to-day direction to team members as needed.
Coordinate and monitor department repair and employee work schedules.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and complete repairs on all types of fleet equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
Perform mechanical repairs including engine, clutch, oil changes, washing and cleaning, greasing, transmission, brake repairs, tire changes. and inspection of hoses, belts, fluids and wiring.
Respond to fleet service calls, pick up and deliver vehicles.
Performs preventative maintenance inspections and D.O.T. inspections using prescribed check lists along with identifying and reporting all unsafe conditions.
Maintain tools and equipment to company standards.
Act as back-up support for fleet supervisor as needed.
For this role, you will need:
1 years of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment required.
Experience with Heavy Duty and PIT equipment is required.
Excellent demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
May be required to supply automotive hand tools (not including heavy duty or diagnostic tools).
Additional qualifications that will make you successful in this role:
Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred.
3 years journeyman mechanic experience preferred.
Gasoline, diesel and propane vehicle experience preferred.
ASE certification and CDL license or certification is highly preferred.
