The San Antonio office seeks an experienced personal injury defense attorney who is a self-starter and can manage cases and move them forward. The ideal candidate will have experience taking expert depositions and plaintiff depositions. They should have participated in multiple trials, preferably as lead counsel, but serving as second chair is acceptable. BILINGUAL IS A MUST. The ideal candidate should have established political connections.
Responsibilities
- Conduct expert depositions and plaintiff depositions.
- Professional client interaction and timely communication.
- Evaluate claims and develop litigation strategies independently.
- Manage litigation cases from assessment to resolution.
- Maintain case files and meet client/court deadlines.
- Collaborate with associates and mentor support staff.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in personal injury defense.
- Proven experience in motion practice, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal concepts to clients and juries effectively.
- Exceptional negotiation and persuasive advocacy skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and supervise junior attorneys and support staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently.
- A commitment to staying current with legal developments and changes in the law relevant to the practice area.
- Up-to-date understanding of legislation and regulation within personal injury.
