Event Team Mascot

Job Summary:

Eclectic Activations is looking for Mascots for the Colorado Lottery. We are accepting applications for event staff at festivals, promotional events, conservation stewardship activities and activations at sponsorship properties throughout the state of Colorado. We are seeking individuals to join our team and work with us on a consistent event program creating successful and effective brand experiences in an exciting and enthusiastic manner at public events.

Events include; Retail Promotions, Grand Openings, New Product Launches, Colorado State Lottery Marketing Initiatives and others as identified.

General Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Mascot for the Colorado Lottery at special events, festivals, pop-up events, conservation events and sporting events statewide.
• Represent client in an enthusiastic, engaging and responsible manner
• Assist with set up and breakdown of client displays (signage/banners, tent and other equipment)
• Assist with implementation of promotional contests and crowd interaction activities
• Excel in providing excellent customer service to all attendees ensuring a positive impression of the brand
• Ability to work with others in a team environment using excellent communication skills
• Responsible for onsite event recaps to include but not limited to; general feedback about the event experience and detailed information about demographic and consumer interactions
• Act as a brand ambassador at occasional events. Mascot events are one role within the position, and the ability to be flexible and work other roles is highly preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Those applying for this position must be enthusiastic, entertaining, and able to engage and keep the crowd excited about our client. They need to problem solve using good judgment, comprehend written and verbal instructions and have good decision-making skills. The ability to represent the Colorado Lottery in a courteous and professional manner, and articulate answers to specific questions about the Colorado Lottery to the general public is of upmost importance. We are looking for people who want to be a team player, display a positive attitude and to establish and maintain an effective and responsive working relationship with peers, supervisors and the public.

Other Necessary Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to pass routine security background check including a tax portion.
• You must be 18 years old for this position.
• Prior experience as a mascot, sign spinner, or other high energy, customer facing role is strongly preferred.
• This is a high energy role. You must be a people person with energy to share. You are the face and the excitement for the Colorado Lottery at these events.
• This position works festivals and special in-store events, many taking place weekdays. Must have weekday/ daytime availability to be considered for this role. Within these events individuals could be exposed to loud noise and varied weather conditions.
• Mental demands include analyzing, coordinating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be comfortable with physical demands of job including long hours on feet, lifting a minimum of 50lbs, reaching, bending, stepping, stooping, climbing, kneeling, crouching, handling, talking, and hearing.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• The mascot costume is a round ball with head, feet, and arms exposed. You must be comfortable wearing it and keeping it on, while maintaining high energy, for up to 5 hours at a time.

Compensation: This is a part time gig-based position (as needed and based upon your availability). The hourly rate for the mascot representative is $32/hour.
