Mission
Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Power Broom Operator in Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine.
- Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water.
- Must keep equipment serviced, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
- Must have an understanding of brooming procedures to minimize dust contamination of the air and control damage to vehicles and property in the brooming area.
- Must have a basic knowledge of abilities and limitations in all applications.
- Must be able to wear safety classes and respirator at all times during brooming operations.
- Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
