Position Overview:
Colby Community College is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach to join our athletic department. This position will support the Head Coach in all aspects of the women’s wrestling program, including recruiting, training, and mentoring student-athletes while promoting academic and athletic excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and conducting practice sessions.
- Support student-athletes in skill development, strength training, and conditioning.
- Assist with recruiting and retaining student-athletes who align with the college’s values and academic standards.
- Provide academic support and monitor student-athlete progress.
- Help coordinate travel, competition schedules, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with NJCAA, conference, and college regulations.
- Assist in fundraising and community engagement efforts.
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching or collegiate wrestling experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to recruit and develop student-athletes at the collegiate level.
- Commitment to academic success, sportsmanship, and character development.
- Must pass a background check and possess a valid driver’s license.
