Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk/Procurement Assistant to join our team. This position is responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying contents, and organizing products in the warehouse.
· Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, packing slip or other records.
· Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with Quality Control and Purchasing to rectify damages and shortages.
· Routes items to the appropriate person/tags parts with proper identification per ISO Standards.
· Examines incoming shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
· Maintains inventory of shipping and receiving materials and supplies.
· Uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
· Operates forklift to move material and unload incoming shipments.
· Operates crane to move material and unload incoming shipments.
· Maintains a clean, neat and member-ready area.
· Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries.
· Sends P.O.s to specified vendors.
· Receives purchase orders (P.O.) into ERP system.
· Work directly with suppliers on any and all P.O.’s regarding on time delivery, shipment issues, shortages, etc.
