A significant facet of this role involves collaboration with Dartmouth Health (DH) in supporting students enrolled in the Workforce Readiness Institute. Working closely with DH administrators, faculty, students, and colleagues at Colby-Sawyer College, this role assists in the enrollment process by providing guidance on course selection, monitoring academic progress, and reporting analysis to key stakeholders. Additionally, this role is heavily involved in the advising and retention of both WRI and GPS students.
Responsibilities
- Represent the College both on-and off-campus within your assigned territory to prospective students, employers, and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process.
- Fulfill all aspects of the recruiting process for prospective students within your assigned territory to meet the enrollment goals of Colby-Sawyer College.
- Successfully complete in-person, telephone, and virtual contact with prospective students to help them understand policies and procedures and complete all admission processes utilizing available technology.
- Coordinate and plan recruiting activities for the assigned territory/programs.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Colby-Sawyer administrative personnel, faculty, Deans, Dartmouth Health, and WRI staff to ensure best practices and efficient workflow.
- Maintain a strong understanding of current programs, policies, and procedures including academic programs, financial aid policies, business office policies, nursing licensure qualifications and processes, state educational certifications, and international student application requirements.
- Confer regularly with the Assistant Director of GPS Admissions, Assistant Dean of GPS, Office of the Registrar, Dartmouth Health administration, Financial Aid, Marketing, and other campus personnel and constituencies to plan, coordinate, participate in activities, exchange information, and resolve problems, with the goal of maximizing the overall effectiveness of recruiting and retaining students in GPS and WRI programs.
- Maintain retention tracking for WRI and Associate of Health Science programs.
- Coordinate, execute, and attend bi-weekly meetings with Dartmouth Health, WRI program coordinators, and Colby-Sawyer staff as appropriate to provide updates.
- Advise and register current WRI and AS of Health Science students each semester, communicate deadlines, monitor progress, and provide follow-up as needed to support enrollment and retention goals.
- Develop enrollment and retention pathways with the Assistant Director of GPS Admissions, Assistant Dean of GPS, and Deans.
- Coordinate with Enrollment Operations for timely WRI student uploads and ASHS transcripts.
- Maintain prospective student databases and create sequential messaging with enrollment marketing.
- Create, understand, and analyze recruitment-related data, reports and other quantitative information to identify progress and potential areas of focus or improvement at each stage of the admissions funnel from inquiry through enrollment.
- Assist Enrollment Operations with the entry of WRI student data into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Tool, as needed.
- Generate term statistics for the Assistant Director of Graduate and Professional Studies Admissions (ADGPSA) and Associate Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies (ADGPS) post add/drop periods.
