What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Colby-Sawyer College?
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician will perform various functions to maintain the campus buildings. The Maintenance Tech will evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC systems in the buildings, as well as respond to work orders of mechanical or maintenance issues throughout campus. This position will also participate in snow removal operations.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with facilities management about any work that requires outside expert assistance.
- Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, carpentry and HVAC systems in the buildings.
- Receive and respond to SchoolDude work orders of mechanical or maintenance issues throughout the campus.
- Work with tools and supplies necessary to complete projects.
- Maintain CSC Facilities safety procedures at all times and comply with all PPE requirements.
- Maintain fire, carbon monoxide, smoke and other safety systems within the campus
- Must be available and on-call for emergencies and inclement weather.
- Must be able to shovel, plow, and operate snow removal equipment for long periods of time.
