Contract: 10 month
Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill a Teacher/Coach position, specializing in Football and potentially other coaching duties. This role involves creating a positive and engaging learning environment for students while leading and developing our student-athletes. - Bachelor's Degree in Education
- Oklahoma Certified Teaching Certificate and/or Endorsements through the Oklahoma Department of Education
Job Description: T
The Teacher/Coach will create and implement effective lesson plans, foster student growth, and maintain positive relationships with parents and staff. In addition, they will be an assistant coach to the Football team and potentially other athletic programs as assigned.
Essential Duties (Teaching):
- Provide engaging learning experiences in pre-reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, physical education, and music to students, utilizing the Oklahoma State Department of Education and Board of Education curriculum.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Translate lesson plans into effective learning experiences, maximizing instructional time.
- Establish and maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Evaluate student academic and social progress, maintain records, and prepare progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with parents through various channels, including parent-teacher conferences.
- Collaborate with staff to identify and address student needs, including health, attitude, and learning challenges.
- Supervise and monitor students during out-of-classroom activities, including cafeteria duty, field trips, playground duty, and hallway monitoring.
Essential Duties (Coaching):
- Assistant Football Coach, developing players' skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Develop and implement effective training programs and game strategies.
- Manage team logistics, including scheduling, equipment, and travel.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes.
- Adhere to all school and district policies and regulations regarding athletics.
- Potentially coach other sports as assigned.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
- Ability to write legibly and perform computer-related tasks.
- Adequate visual acuity for reading, interpreting, and transcribing materials.
- Physical capabilities to perform required duties, including some stooping, bending, stretching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
