High Reach Forklift Operator / CPL Warehouse (1st Shift & 2nd Shift)

Cold-Link’s warehousing network has recently expanded and is a new 200,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Ellisville, Mississippi and we are actively recruiting an experienced High Reach Forklift Operator. Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Supervisor, the High Reach Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating a variety of material handling equipment including a High Reach Forklift Truck for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise in a cold and freezer environment. The equipment utilized in these functions includes pallet jacks, forklifts, slip-sheets, clamps, and high reach forklifts. The operators are also responsible for all functions of the operations including order selecting, put away, loading, unloading, and sanitation.

Essential Duties:

• Being a TEAM Player, working cooperatively with others to meet daily service demands.
• Complete daily forklift maintenance and pre-shift Inspection sheet.
• Put away palletized units by raising forks for placement into locations, both single and double deep, up to 7 levels high or 500 inches.
• Pick palletized units from locations, both single and double deep, up to 7 levels high or 500’ and stages for outbound shipment.
• Records materials, weight, count, condition of food items via RF system.
• Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
• Inventory product as needed.
• Label, sort, stack, wrap, and tie products as needed.
• Recharge, maintain, and clean batteries as needed while using appropriate PPE.
• Conducts operations in a manner which promotes safety.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean personal work environment.
• May perform other duties of Forklift Operator or Utility as needed.
• May perform other duties may be assigned to fulfill Cold-Link Logistics objectives.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; college or trade school education preferred.
• Ability to accurately perform basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) as required for daily warehousing tasks.
• Previous one year warehouse equipment experience; using high reach forklift.
• Possess strong communication skills and be capable of following written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrate a solid teamwork mentality and be willing to collaborate as necessary to meet business demands.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and handle product both manually and with equipment.

Physical Requirements & Schedule:

• Core working hours are Mon-Fri but must be willing to work overtime and weekends if needed. FIRST SHIFT 7:00AM TO 3:30PM. SECOND SHIFT 3:30PM TO 12:00AM.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -10 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.
