What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager position at Cold Stone Creamery?
Job Functions:
- Available to work a flexible schedule of up to 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
- Primary responsibility of making ice creams, cakes, cupcakes, waffles, Serving customers, etc.
- Keeping up with the cleaning of all the aspects of the store
- Adheres to the dress code at all times.
- Reports directly to the Owners and assists the General Manager in overseeing store operations.
- Achieves business results in accordance with budgeted expectations, including sales, labor, and store operating expenses.
- Handles cash handling responsibilities with a high level of professional care, verifying daily deposits and promptly accounting for any discrepancies.
- Ensures proper staffing and uniform compliance, and trains employees in sales techniques, store operating procedures, suggestive selling, and sampling procedures.
- Maintains product quality and presentation according to company standards and policies, projecting a positive and inviting image.
- Exercises vigilance and control over the waste program to minimize losses.
- Conducts inventories as scheduled and orders products/supplies according to procedure, following model stock guidelines provided by Management.
- Adheres to company policies and procedures regarding hiring, training, and progressive corrective action.
- Prepares and conducts performance evaluations of store personnel in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains store cleanliness to the highest standard, in compliance with company policy and OSHA standards.
- Conducts orientation and ongoing training for new team members, ensuring certification per position through modular training and practical assessments.
- Ensures accurate and timely clock-in and clock-out for all team members, including breaks.
- Handles customer complaints according to company policy.
- Participates in decision-making to ensure the execution of all company marketing programs and promotions.
- Performs other essential duties as directed by the Owners.
Hours:
- Expected to always be at work on time and in uniform.
- Hours will fluctuate according to store needs.
- Any schedule changes must be approved by the Owners.
- Clock in and out accurately and take breaks and lunches as scheduled.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting up to 30 pounds and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Frequent carrying of items.
Skills:
- Specialize in decorating standard cakes as well as construct custom designs upon request.
- Provide premier customer service.
- Possess and maintain a positive attitude.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Must have Manager Food Manager Certification.
