We are looking for a motivated and proactive Assistant Store Manager who can lead a (mostly evening) team of shift leads and crew members to ensure we’re making the world’s greatest ice cream, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for every person who walks in the door, and keeping the store sparkling clean. This position is a full-time position responsible for helping the General Manager execute all store operations, including supervising crew members and shift leads, and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have some previous management experience in a quick service restaurant, be detail oriented, flexible, a team player, and be interested in becoming the next Store General Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise shifts of 2-7 employees.
- Make fresh ice cream, cakes, cupcakes, cookie sandwiches, waffles, etc. daily.
- Manage and monitor the work of crew members, cake decorators, and shift leads.
- Train store staff to ensure they are knowledgeable and efficient in their roles.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues.
- Work with the General Manager to create schedules bi-weekly.
- Manage store operations including merchandise presentation, staff, store maintenance, security, loss prevention, sales performance, and safety standards.
Compensation:
- Approximately $43.6k-$50k annual wage (~40 hrs/week tips)
- Up to 2 weeks paid time off

- This is a 5-day work week with a relatively consistent schedule.
- Be available to work at least two out of the three weekend evenings each week (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday) - Note: we're flexible and days off can be taken without using PTO by asking a few weeks in advance and/or swapping shifts.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 1-year food service leadership experience
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience in motivating, coaching, and counseling team members
- Basic computer and Microsoft 365 skills (Gmail, Excel, Word)
- Evening closing availability (to 9pm during the week and 10pm on the weekends during the winter and 10pm/11pm during the summer)
- POS and cash handling experience
- Previous ice cream and cake decorating experience is a plus (not required)
*Note: · Must have the ability to work up to 8 hours a day on your feet, lift up to 50lbs, push/pull two ice cream spades to serve ice cream
