HR Generalist Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment process, including conducting interviews, vetting candidates, and hiring new staff.
- Plan and coordinate training sessions for new hires and provide refresher workshops for current employees.
- Collaborate with managers to identify staffing needs and ensure they are met.
- Address employee concerns related to performance, training, and career development.
- Perform various administrative duties, including accurate processing of paperwork and maintaining employee records.
- Provide guidance and counseling to staff regarding HR policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Functions:
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and government regulations affecting HR functions.
- Conduct recruitment, interviews, and selection of new team members, coordinating with staffing agencies as necessary.
- Organize new hire orientations and foster a positive attitude towards company goals and policies.
- Maintain accurate personnel records, including hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
- Address employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, and benefits in a timely manner.
- Administer and track benefit programs, including health, dental, life, and disability insurance, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, and other employee assistance programs.
- Investigate workplace accidents and prepare necessary reports for insurance carriers.
- Manage team member separation processes, including preparation of separation notices, exit interviews, and analysis of reasons for turnover.
Qualifications:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Kronos, Oracle, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required, with Spanish language skills desired.
- A solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and compliance regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in a startup environment is highly preferred and must be familiar with establishing HR systems and processes in a growing company.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3-5 years of practical HR experience, with a preference for candidates with benefits administration experience and startup experience.
