About Us:
Topsail Hill Park Services, in partnership with Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, provides exceptional visitor experiences through guided tours, recreational services, and transportation within the park. We are seeking a responsible, safety-conscious, and customer-oriented Tram Driver to join our team. This role is vital in helping visitors explore the park efficiently and ensuring their comfort and safety during their ride.
Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a tram to transport visitors to and from key locations within the park, including campsites, beach areas, and visitor centers.
- Provide courteous and professional service to all park guests, answering questions and sharing information about the park as needed.
- Monitor and maintain a safe environment on the tram, ensuring that all passengers follow safety guidelines.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tram, reporting any mechanical issues or needed repairs to the maintenance team.
- Assist passengers with special needs, including providing assistance with boarding and disembarking as needed.
- Adhere to the park’s schedule for tram services, ensuring timely transportation between stops.
- Ensure cleanliness of the tram, including cleaning and sanitizing after each shift.
- Communicate with park staff and management regarding any changes to tram schedules or visitor-related issues.
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote the park’s values and goals related to sustainability, safety, and visitor experience.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience towing a trailer (preferred but not required).
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact with visitors in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to park safety regulations.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating the tram.
- Ability to assist passengers with mobility issues as necessary.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs occasionally.
