This role involves maintaining client grounds by mowing, trimming, and ensuring the overall upkeep of the landscape. Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve assigned client grounds, including mowing grass, trimming shrubbery, and pruning trees and hedges.
- Monitor the growth of greenery and ensure its health and appearance.
- Remove invasive plants and weeds, and dispose of them appropriately.
- Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and other areas.
- Clear areas of tree limbs and trash, ensuring proper disposal.
- Apply mulch to designated areas during appropriate seasons.
- Bag and remove leaves during the fall months.
- Salt properties as needed during winter months to ensure safety.
- Conduct duties in a manner that respects and preserves local fauna.
- Inform the foreman when stock needs replenishing or replacement.
- Maintain and store equipment and supplies safely and securely.
Environment
This position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, and kneel, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 80 pounds occasionally. The role involves exposure to all weather conditions and physical hazards such as noise, fumes, and dirt due to the equipment used. Routine use of heavy machinery and lawn tools is required, along with local, day travel.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 1 years of lawn care experience.
- Familiarity with power mowers, trimmers, hedge clippers, and other lawn care equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a hardworking attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to follow directions.
- 18 months or more of CDL A driving experience.
