What are the responsibilities and job description for the CLOSING DEPARTMENT MANAGER position at Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group?
Position: Escrow/Closing Department Manager
Location: Based out of Home Title’s main office in Fort Wayne. Periodic travel will be required throughout the Indiana region as needed.
General Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. Schedule will periodically fall outside of these hours based on volume, closing schedule needs, etc.
Classification: Full-time/Exempt (salaried)
Primary Job Duties/Skill Set:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Closing Department.
Direct workflow and closing volume assignments amongst the various closing agents.
Assist closing agents with problem resolution, file balancing issues, and general troubleshooting.
Work with the Indiana state manager and closing department team to improve and develop overall department processes and efficiencies.
Prepare documents for the seller side and buyer side signing of real estate closing transactions.
Coordinate with the lender to prepare closing disclosures, balance files, confirm funding amounts, and disburse funds post-closing.
Perform seller and buyer closing transactions associated with purchase and refinance real estate transactions.
Must possess quality leadership, team building, and collaboration skills.
Must possess a positive attitude and great customer service in person, on the phone, and in written correspondence.
Must be comfortable with technology and the aptitude to be proficient in multiple software platforms.
Required Work Experience
Previous title experience in the role as a closing coordinator/escrow officer.
Previous leadership experience is ideal.
Required Education
High school diploma required.
College degree in a related field is not required, but ideal.
Must possess or acquire an Indiana Title License.
