Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service department. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team, manage critical service processes, and ensure the seamless transition of construction projects to the service phase. Key Responsibilities:
- Mentor and supervise the Service Advisor and Technicians, ensuring they excel in their roles.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and guide team members toward achieving their full potential.
- Schedule and prioritize work orders to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Foster a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional service.
Training and Development:
- Oversee training programs to equip team members with the skills needed for success.
- Identify and address training gaps, ensuring the team stays current on industry best practices and safety protocols.
Construction Turnover:
- Collaborate with construction teams for a seamless project transition to service, ensuring all documentation is in place.
- Review completed projects and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Invoicing and Financial Management:
- Manage the invoicing process to ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Partner with the accounting team to maintain financial accuracy and address outstanding invoices promptly.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory control to ensure tools and parts are readily available.
- Monitor material usage to optimize costs and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with the RMA process.
Collaboration with Key Stakeholders:
- Work closely with the Quality Manager to uphold quality standards and resolve issues.
- Partner with the EHS Manager to maintain a safe work environment and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate across departments to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Subcontractor Management:
- Onboard and manage subcontractors to supplement internal team capabilities.
- Ensure subcontractors meet company standards for quality, safety, and performance.
Scorecard and Metrics:
- Track and analyze KPIs to drive team performance and service improvements.
- Use data insights to implement corrective actions and achieve organizational goals.
Quality Control and Compliance:
- Conduct regular quality inspections to maintain high service standards.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Customer Satisfaction and Issue Resolution:
- Address customer concerns promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
- Implement strategies to enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in construction, service, or facilities management.
- Strong expertise in service operations, including scheduling, invoicing, inventory, and quality control.
- Exceptional team management and performance-driving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors effectively.
- Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance standards (EHS).
- Proficiency in service management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and implement performance improvements.
- Prior Solar experience REQUIRED
