Position Overview: We are seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will support our project managers in planning, coordinating, and executing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project support, with experience in the solar or renewable energy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to project managers.
- Assist with project planning and coordination, including tracking project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Prepare project reports, presentations, and other project-related materials.
- Assist with the subcontractor process, including sourcing new subcontractors.
- Manage project documentation.
- Schedule project and company meetings (inspections, utility shutdowns, etc.).
- Generate prime contract and subcontract change orders for PM presentation, at the PM's direction.
- Assist clients directly (with PM’s direction) to navigate AHJ, utility, and regulatory issues.
- Assist Project Management with contract drafting.
- Generate and update subcontract commitments and accounting.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, renewable energy) or equivalent work experience.
- 3 years of previous experience in a project support role.
- 2 years of previous experience in the solar energy or renewable energy industry.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite (Teams, Procore).
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Some customer service experience preferred.
- Solar experience and knowledge are a strong plus.
- Experience with utility companies and their billing processes is a plus.
- Open, friendly disposition in front of clients and agencies. Must present a positive demeanor.
- Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate ability to self-resolve problems. Well organized, able to create and keep schedules. A true “self-starter” attitude and work ethic.
