What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Operations Specialist position at Cole Law Group, P.C.?
Cole Law Group, an established, dynamic, and growing law firm in the heart of Brentwood, TN, is looking for an HR Operations Specialist who can assist law firm management with traditional HR functions in addition to supporting the litigation and operations teams as may be required. The HR Operations Specialist will be responsible for regularly communicating with the Firm's Founder as well as other managerial staff to discuss progress and goals, and will also be required to assist in the coordination of office activities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist management with traditional HR functions, including payroll, benefits, and semiannual performance evaluations.
- Manage and safeguard all HR documentation including personnel files and the Employee Handbook.
- Enforce published policies and procedures of the Firm.
- Assist tracking office assets, such as supplies and computers.
- Assist tracking office expenses.
- Assist with client invoicing.
- Assist with daily office flow, including greeting visitors and composing internal office communications.
- Generate various reports on billable activity, expenses, employee hours, etc. for confidential distribution to Firm management.
- Provide traditional paralegal functions as may be required (if you do not have previous legal industry experience we will train!).
- Assist with planning firm functions.
- Assist with the Firm's recruiting efforts including working with the Firm's summer law clerk program.
- Execute proper procedures for the onboarding / offboarding of employees.

Starting salary for this position is $55,000 per year; however, this may be adjusted upward based on work experience, educational background, foreign language proficiency, and professional credentials such as SHRM certification.
