Our North Liberty, IA location has an opening for a 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor (Mon-Fri 9 hour shift) who will be part of the leadership team.
Sanitation Supervisor oversees assigned areas of responsibilities and directs the hourly associates for work assignments. Essential duties of cleaning include but are not limited to: conveyors, de-panner, cornucopias, dough conveyors, dough chunker, proof box, oven, mixer, CO2 freezers, baggers, pumps, butter applicators, Wilevco applicator, and Jones Cartoner.
Other Key Duties:
- Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) with enforcement of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
- Daily dilution logs for bulk chemicals. Mixing and handling aggressive chemicals is required.
- Daily reports to management team on shift progress-including issues
- Safety and Security that observes and participates in safety and security procedures. That reports potential unsafe conditions.
- Quality Management that looks for ways to improve and promote quality, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, you will be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. You will be exposed to temperatures range fluctuations based on the season between 45 to 90 degrees. Floor conditions may be slippery from water, oil, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and requires that hearing protection be worn in production areas at all times. Hair/facial nets are also required.

- Two (2) years relative experience in a supervisory or similar position, preferably in baking industry.
- Knowledgeable in applicable union contracts and have the ability to manage day to day responsibilities while abiding by union contract language.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective development and counseling of subordinates, training, orienting and motivating employees in procedures, policies, methods, and operations of equipment.
- Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills while being flexible with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with managers, peers, and subordinates. Ability to communicate information objectively.
- Enhances productivity, quality, and safety of the operation.
