Cole Veterinary Clinic is a privately owned practice in Jacksonville Beach, FL is looking for a full time veterinary technician to join our 17 person strong team. We are located on 319 3rd St. S.
We are looking for an experienced veterinary technician with at least 2 years experience to join our rapidly growing non-corporate practice. We are a two doctor private practice that fosters a team environment focusing on individualized patient care, positivity, and compassion. We are looking for someone who has experience in the art of veterinary nursing. This person should be highly skilled in: placing IV catheters, phlebotomy (jugular and otherwise), restraint, and anesthesia and surgical nursing. Responsibilities
- Client Education and patient history collection, safe restraint, phlebotomy, laboratory, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assisting.
- Client interaction including answering phones occasionally when warranted.
Qualifications
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, or stand for occasionally long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 45 lbs to waist height unassisted
- Experience with safe restraint skills
