Job Overview
The Colebrookdale Railroad is seeking an experienced dishwasher to assist our Hospitality staff. This position requires nights and weekends with the availability of 40 hours per week.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash as needed.
- Assist in food preparation tasks as required, including bussing tables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and in good working order; report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Support catering and banquet services by efficiently handling dishware during events.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary practices and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to assist colleagues as needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 50 pounds).
