What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator position at Coleman-Adams Construction Inc?
Position summary:
Will work with Project Managers, Estimators and Design staff to assist with project development and project administration. Duties will include such things as permitting, estimating, submittals, schedule of values, take-offs, budgets, project schedules, and ordering materials.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Construction experience and knowledge.
· Commercial construction field experience preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and Experience:
· Detail oriented, professional, self-motivated, trustworthy, and organized.
· Knowledge of budget development processes and procedures.
· Familiarity of AIA format and schedules.
· Ability to create project schedules.
· Ability to do take-offs, create materials lists and figure quantities.
· Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
· Ability to prepare proposals for new construction and renovation projects.
· Responsible for construction document distribution and tracking, including plans, specifications, and addenda.
· Ability to solicit quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
· Ability to coordinate and multi-task.
· Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Must be able to communicate and work well with clients, subcontractors, and other team members.
· Ability to schedule and perform project walkthroughs with subcontractors and vendors.
· Must be knowledgeable with Word and Excel.
· Blue Beam, Revit, Plan Grid helpful but not required.
· Must have knowledge of permitting and working with municipalities and inspections offices.
· Should be knowledgeable with submittals and shop drawings.
· Commercial construction estimating helpful but not required.
· Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screens.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
