What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Allied Financial Accounting position at Coleman American Companies, Inc?
Job Summary:
The Director of Allied Financial Accounting will oversee the Allied Accounting Department of 4-6 employees and manage Allied payables and receivables. Compensation range is $45K-$55K depending on experience.
Essential Functions:
- Manage process of Allied accounting pertaining to revenue, expenses, and overall accounting
- Maintain and improve utilization of Netsirv, our reconciliation software
- Balance accounts receivable after each bi-monthly statement and communicate with the billing departments on balance dues and discrepancies between payments and invoices
- Identify uncollected funds and work with operations and move management team to collect uncollected funds
- Support service centers by assisting with paperwork, billing, and other administrative needs to ensure smooth billing and payment process
- Provide explanation to the service center managers and regional vice presidents for revenue and expenses related to Allied accounting
- Work with programmers to improve audit trail, overall Allied financial reporting, and issues with accounts receivable and collections
- Provide paperwork to the Treasury department and attorneys for disputed charges
- Balance Allied clearing accounts and Allied statement to Coleman’s ledger
- Assist auditors as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Interpersonal communication, and organizational skills, ability to multitask, basic math skills, ability to operate 10-key calculator, conflict management skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
Required Education and Experience:
- Required: High school diploma or GED
- Required: 2 years related experience
